Camilla is just the cutest thing these days. She is really starting to get into the "pretend play." She loved the pumpkin patch and her little pumpkin she picked. She carried it around and played with it like it was her baby for a couple of days until the stem broke off. She also likes to share her food with everyone...even ELMO! Here are some CUTE pics of our CUTE girl!

Fun in the Sun...
This weekend we headed down to Gulf Shores for a family beach trip. As some of you know, Camilla was pretty sick from Wednesday to Friday of last week and we left for the beach on Saturday. I was nervous that she might be sick the entire trip so we invited Nana and Papa to join us for some "back-up." Camilla ended up doing great but it was great to have them along for the trip. Marty and I were able to go out to dinner two nights "alone" which was great. It was Shrimp Festival time in Gulf Shores so there were tons of people in town. Not the quite October beach trip we had planned on but we had a great time. The weather was awesome and Camilla had a great time. She really loved the pool and playing in the sand.

Dreamfield Farms
Today we went to Dreamfield Farms with our friends the Barnetts, McCarthys and Prices and had a great time. They have a pumpkin patch, petting zoo and plenty of room to run! Camilla and her friends had a great time. She even picked her own pumpkin! I took over 140 pictures while we were there so here are a few of my favorites. There are more in the slide show!

Messy Eater
As many of you know, we have struggled with getting Camilla to eat solid food. Up until about a week ago every meal was baby food for her! She is finally starting to try some new foods and we are only using about one jar of baby food a day now! We found that if she can sit in her booster seat at the table and not in her highchair she eats better. Also, she likes to eat off of a plate and feed herself. Here are some funny pictures from her first attempt at pasta on Sunday night.

Camilla's 1st Concert
On Friday night, we headed down to the Riverfront Amphitheater to hear Zac Brown Band. The Bassmasters fishing tournament was wrapping up and ESPN was putting on a free concert. We met some friends for dinner at Lek's Thai Restaurant and headed out in the rain to see some of the concert. There were so many people there...I guess since it was free. We have been to other "paid" concerts at the amphitheater and it was not nearly this crowded. We lasted about 30-40 mins and headed back to the car. This was Camilla's friend Alli's first concert too!
Camilla is ready for the rain!

A Day at the Park
For the past few weeks, Caron and I have been walking in the morning around Deer Creek. Our goal is 5 days a week but this week we only made it 4 days (which is still a success in my book!). Today we decided to take the girls out to Blount Park and walk and feed the geese. Well, when we got to the art museum (where all the geese hang out) we noticed that there were A LOT of them. I bet there were 75 geese and all of them wanted our 4 little pieces of bread. I must admit that I was a little nervous. We decided not to get the girls out of the stroller for two reasons: 1. they might get stampeded by the geese and 2. there was goose poop everywhere! We had a good walk and the girls had fun too!
We did not have enough bread to go around!
This is a short video of all the geese that were there today. I know I call them "ducks" a few times in the video...I know they are geese but we talk about ducks a lot with Camilla so for her I called them ducks!
Happy Birthday Aunt Kelly
Last night we celebrated my sister Kelly's 27th birthday. She and her husband were passing through on their way on vacation so we took the opportunity to celebrate her birthday a few days early. We went to dinner at Ruby Tuesdays and then came back to our house to have cake and open presents. We had a lot of fun and Camilla really loves getting to spend time with them...especially when she gets to stay up late! She didn't go to bed until 9:15 p.m.!!!
All kinds of yummy dips and chips from World Market!
Happy Birthday Kelly!!!

One Year Pictures
Well, now that Camilla is almost 14 months old I finally made it to have her one year pictures taken! My mom and I took her to Portrait Innovations this morning. It was a challenge. She did not want to stand still for the pictures. There were too many distractions (toys) in the photography area. We chose two poses. The picture of her in the red dress is special because I had my one year pictures made in the same dress.
