Beach Trip - Day Two!

We are having a great time. The weather is still beautiful and Camilla loves the sand, ocean and pool. She is playing hard and sleeping good!!! We ate dinner at Lulu's and she played in the sand there for about an hour after we finished dinner. After dinner we headed to the souvenir shop to get some shells and other fun little prizes for Camilla. She is sleeping now and I just wanted to share some pictures from our day!

We went to the outlet mall last night. Camilla got to ride the carousel and some of the little quarter rides to keep her happy. I found a lot of cute clothes...yea!

When we finished shopping, Camilla was starving so she had an Arby's Roast Beef Sandwich in the back seat while Mom and I got a Mellow Mushroom Pizza to take back to the condo!

Beach Trip - Day One!

Well, it has been a crazy trip so far. Camilla, my mom, and I are at the beach. Kelly, my sister, usually comes on the girls beach trip but she is expecting and not feeling to good so she wanted to avoid the heat! We miss you Aunt Kelly...Camilla needs you here to build sand castles and collect shells!

Back to the crazy parts...when we checked in to the condo yesterday at 1:30 pm it had not been cleaned and did not start getting cleaned until 6:30 pm last night! It is really gross to see all the dirty towels and messy beds that have been used by strangers! When we got back from dinner last night, the cleaners were gone and we could finally settle in. Next crazy thing...Marty and I got a 10x10 pop-up tent for Christmas to use at the beach so we would have plenty of shade for Camilla to play and us to sit under. Well, Mom and I practiced setting it up in the backyard before the trip so we would know what we were doing before we got it out on the beach...so prepared! I drag the heavy thing all the way down to the beach and we are almost done putting it up and the "umbrella rental guy" comes up and tells us there is a new Gulf Shores City Ordinance that you can't have a tent larger than 7x7 and over 4 ft tall and that we had to take it down! I was so mad! Camilla was pitching a fit in the sand and Mom and I were trying to make sure she didn't run in the ocean while packing the tent back up! We decided to just play at the pool for a while and then headed out to the beach after that.

Come to find out we didn't really need a tent after all. The weather is wonderful here. Sunny and breezy and 80 degrees. We just have to make sure we are reapply sunscreen to Camilla pretty often. She had a blast playing in the sand and building castles. She loved the ocean. She is little miss independent! The undertow is strong so we stayed on shore. She had fun picking up the shells and throwing them back in the ocean and saying "bye bye shells"

She is napping now and I wanted to share some pictures from our day with ya'll!

We miss you Daddy and We Love You!

Ready for the Beach!

She kept her Bama hat on all morning...
we just took it off for some of the pictures!

Fun times with Olive!

We had so much fun today with Stephanie and Olive! They live in Headland (near Dothan) so we don't get to see them as much as we would like! Olive is 18 months old and Camilla is 21 months old so they love to play with each other. (Olive will have baby sister in September!!!) We headed to the zoo today with the girls and every school in a 100 mile area was on a field trip to the zoo today! It was very busy! We had fun anyway. The girls loved the animals. The cafe at the zoo was packed so we just had a quick snack and finished the zoo off with a ride on the train...which was their favorite part!
We headed to Chappy's for lunch and the girls loved the ice cream cones! After lunch, we came back to our house and I wanted to show Olive the playset in the backyard. I had filled up our play pool in the backyard this morning thinking we might have time for the girls to swim but we were not planning on letting them since it was getting late in the afternoon and Stephanie and Olive needed to head on to Greenville....the girls had a different idea. Before we knew it, they were both in the pool in their clothes. So we decided to take off their clothes and just let them play in their diapers but those soon came off too! It all ended with a TURD in the pool...thanks to Camilla....that ended the fun!

What a great day filled with fun memories!

Snow White

Last Saturday, Camilla went to her little friend, Ann Louise's, 2nd Birthday Party. She had a blast and was the wildest one there! Snow White was there too and the kids loved it! She took pictures, told a story and sang. It was awesome. Here are a few pictures....

Going for a RIDE...

This weekend, my sister and her husband were in town to visit. One of the reasons they came was to go to the Deer Creek neighborhood yard sale. They are expecting a little one in October and wanted to look for "baby stuff" and I love to go because you can find really cute kids toys for cheap! I had a list and the main thing I wanted to find was a toddler bike seat for Marty's bike so we can all 3 go riding together and a helmet for Camilla. I found them both for a great deal...the Bell bike seat was $5 ($58 retail) and the Dora helmet was $3 ($20 retail)! I put it on Marty's bike while Camilla was napping on Saturday and when she got up Marty took her on a ride....so cute!
Ready to ride!

Whee!!!
